The 100 Mile Walk to Fight Dementia

Saturday May 18, 2024

We are excited to announce Asheville-Biltmore Rotary’s major fund-raising event for 2024: The 100-Mile Walk!  We are joined in this effort by two business groups: the Asheville Brewers Alliance, and South Slope Businesses.

The event this year is a walk through downtown and South Slope Asheville, with participants choosing a 1 mile or 2 mile course (or both!). We hope to add up to 100 miles collectively as a group. See the route map below.

This is during Asheville’s famous Beer Week. Walks will take place between Noon and 4 PM, with all activities wrapping up at 5 PM. The event happens rain or shine!  We start and end at Hi-Wire Brewing, 197 Hilliard Ave, in the South Slope area.

Once again, we focus our efforts on fighting dementia, with one-half of the proceeds going to MemoryCare in Asheville and one-half going to support the CART ground-breaking dementia research program. 100% of donations will go to these two fine causes.
